RALEIGH, N.C. – Liberty All-American Calli Doan made a successful return to the track on Friday, the second day of the Raleigh Relays.
Racing for the first time in nearly four months due to injury, Doan was the fastest among Liberty's trio of women's 1,500 runners with a 4:30.05 clocking.
Teammates Katrina Schlenker (4:37.94) and Ryann Aycock (4:39.15) both achieved new 1,500 personal bests Friday afternoon.
A pair of Liberty veterans who are redshirting the current season recorded strong performances while competing unattached. Adelyn Fairley placed sixth in the open 10K with a personal-best 33:43.36 effort, superior to her program-record 33:49.00 from the 2022 season.
Meanwhile, Marie Hostetler battled through some gusty afternoon winds to win her section of the 1,500 in 4:31.82.
