
Liberty Sets School Home Run Record in Victory Over MTSU

Liberty hit three home runs in powering its way to an 11-0 lead in its opening at bat. The Flames sent 16 men to the plate and pounded out 12 hits and never looked back.
Center fielder Kane Kepley, third baseman Cam Foster and right fielder Brayden Horton each hit two home runs in the contest. Designated hitter Todd Hudson and pinch hitter John Simmons also connected for home runs for Liberty.
Liberty's eight home runs set a program record for home runs in a game eclipsing the previous record of seven.
All nine members of the Flames lineup had at least one hit in the contest. Foster and Kepley both had four hits apiece and walked. Foster had five RBI and scored three times, while Kepley had four RBI and scored four runs.
With the win, Liberty takes the series and moves to 2-1 in CUSA and 10-13 overall. Middle Tennessee drops to 2-4 in CUSA and 10-12 overall.
