
Marsh’s Home Run Propels Liberty Past Canisius 10-9

After seeing the visiting Golden Griffins tie the game at 9-9 on a three-run home run by designated hitter Jackson Strong in the top of the eighth, Marsh quickly returned the Flames to the lead by lining a 3-2 pitch into the right field bullpen for a 10-9 advantage. Reliever Bryce Dolby then retired Canisius in order in the ninth to close out the Liberty victory.
The Flames trailed 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning before designated hitter Todd Hudson belted a grand slam to give Liberty a 7-6 advantage. The Flames tacked on two more to carry a 9-6 lead into the eighth.
In addition to his home run, Marsh had a single, walked and scored twice in the contest for the Flames. Hudson's grand slam was his second.
After dropping the first game of the series, Liberty rallies to take the final two games and the three-game series from Canisius. The Flames move to 8-11 on the season. Canisius drops to 6-9.
