
Liberty Remains in 9th Place After Day 2 of Ka’anapali Classic

LAHAINA, Hawaii – A career-low round by Ike Joy helped keep the Flames in the upper half of the leaderboard following the second round of the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational on Sunday.
Joy carded a 6-under par 65 during the second day of play at the Ka'anapali Golf Club - Royal Ka'anapali Course (par 71, 6,700 yards) in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
The third-best round of the day in the 123-man field pushed Joy well up the individual leaderboard. He will enter the final round in a share of sixth place with an overall 9-under par 133 (68-65).
Joy offset one bogey with a team-high seven birdies on Sunday, moving him 21 spots up the individual leaderboard.
Overall, Liberty remains tied for ninth place, heading into tomorrow's final round with a 16-under par 552 (275-277).
Josh Ryan remains inside the top 25 as the junior is tied for 24th place with a 5-under par 137 (67-70).
Joy trails Oklahoma's Jaxon Dowell by four shots entering the final round, who leads the field with a 13-under par 129 (63-66).
Oklahoma enters tomorrow's final round with a five-stroke lead, standing atop the leaderboard with a 31-under par 537 (264-273).
