ANNAPOLIS, MD. – Luke Eberle and Bryce Swinehart each scored goals as the Liberty Flames defeated the Navy Midshipmen 2-1 Sunday evening at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
Making the second start of his career, Owen Moore recorded a career-high seven saves for the Flames.
Eberle gave Liberty a 1-0 advantage on a penalty kick early in the first and Swinehart tallied his first goal of the season less than three minutes into the second half.
Liberty wins its first road match of the season and moved to 3-1 on the year. Navy falls to 2-2 on the season.

- Liberty moves to 3-1 for the first time since starting the 2021 Spring season 5-0-1.
- The match was a meeting between preseason conference favorites. Liberty was selected to win the Ohio Valley Conference by its conference's coaches and Navy was picked to capture the Patriot League crown by the league's coaches.
