Lady Flames News and Notes
- The Lady Flames are 7-0 in 2023, coming off a 2-0 shutout win at Marshall on Sunday.
- With a 17-0-3 record over its last 20 games, Liberty holds the longest current unbeaten streak in Division l. The Lady Flames last loss was on Sept. 11, 2022 at Pitt (3-2).
- The Lady Flames are one of three teams (BYU 7-0-0, Florida State 5-0-0) to have every game result in win this season.
- In the United Soccer Coaches Rankings, Liberty received four points, marking the first time in program history receiving mention in a national ranking.
- Liberty owns a 12-game home unbeaten streak (10-0-2). The Lady Flames went unbeaten at home in 2022.
- Defender Elise Graf received the CUSA Defensive Player of the Week award on Tuesday.
- The Liberty defense did not allow a single shot attempt against Marshall. It was the first time since 1992, a 7-0 win over Washington & Jefferson, that the program accomplished the feat.
- Liberty has received a CUSA Player of the Week award for four straight weeks. Liberty leads in both total awards (seven) and players receiving recognition (five).
- Goalkeeper Ainsley Leja has played every minute of 2023, allowing three goals. She has recorded 11 saves and four shutouts, ranking 16th in the country in clean sheets. The keeper leads CUSA in goals allowed, GAA and shutouts per game.
- Leja and Liberty has allowed 0.43 goals per game in 2023, good for 26th in the country and leads CUSA.
- The Lady Flames have outscored its opponents, 15-3, in 2023.
- All three of Ivy Garner's goals this season are game-winners. The midfielder ranks sixth in the country and leads CUSA in the category.
- The Lady Flames lead CUSA in shots per game (15.43), shots on goal per game (8.43) and corners per game (6.00), GAA (.429) and shutout percentage (.571)
- Three Lady Flames, Garner, Rachel DeRuby and Allison Hansford, lead the team with three goals in 2023. Garner leads the team with eight points (two assists).
- Two Lady Flames, Leja and Rebekah Earnest, have played every minute this season.
