Liberty Earns WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Special Mention

LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the second season in a row, the Liberty women's basketball team has earned special mention on the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. The Lady Flames garnered the recognition due to their 3.28 team GPA during the 2022-23 academic year.
Twelve of Liberty's 15 players recorded GPAs of 3.0 or higher in 2022-23, paced by Emma Hess at 4.0.
Hess and Mya Berkman were each voted to the ASUN All-Academic Team. The duo also made the CSC Academic All-District Team, where they were joined by Jordan Bailey and Audrey Clark.
Liberty has appeared on the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll six times previously, including 1998-99, 1999-2000, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2015-16.
