Liberty sets its sights on a pair of ASUN road contests this week, taking on Coastal Carolina and Queens.
The Lady Flames will square off with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (7-3, 1-0 ASUN), Thursday afternoon in Conway, S.C. First draw is scheduled for noon at Brooks Stadium. Liberty will then head to Charlotte, N.C. for an ASUN matchup with the Queens Royals (6-4, 1-0 ASUN). Game time is noon on Saturday at the Queens Sports Complex.
Liberty is coming off a momentous victory this past Saturday. The Lady Flames downed No. 21 Jacksonville 12-10 on the road in the ASUN opener, their first-ever top-25 win and first triumph over the Dolphins in program history. Liberty, Coastal Carolina and Queens are the only three 1-0 teams in league play at present in the early portion of the conference season.
Coastal Carolina topped Kennesaw State 17-7 in its ASUN opener, last Friday. Meanwhile, Queens knocked off Lindenwood 14-5 last Friday in its inaugural ASUN game.
