Beyond the Box Score
- FGCU is the first ASUN team since Kennesaw State, April 2-3, 2021, to earn a conference series victory over the Lady Flames. Since then, Liberty had won 13 straight ASUN series, including 12 3-0 sweeps. Liberty was 39-1 in its last 40 ASUN regular-season contest prior to today.
- Liberty leads the all-time series against FGCU 7-4, including 7-2 as fellow ASUN members.
- Keeney is now in sole possession of fourth place in program history with 17 career shutouts, passing former teammate and current Liberty volunteer assistant coach Emily Kirby (2018-22) today.
- Keeney tossed her third career one-hit shutout and first since March 9, 2021. Adding in her two no-hitters from last year, and five out of Keeney’s 17 career shutouts have been either on-hitters or no-hitters.
- FGCU entered the series averaging 2.55 stolen bases per game. However, Caroline Hudson silenced that part of the Eagles’ game, throwing out three out of five would-be basestealers (60 percent) this weekend.
