
4 Lady Flames Named to CSC Academic All-District® Women’s Basketball Team

The Liberty quartet of Jordan Bailey, Mya Berkman, Audrey Clark and Emma Hess was named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® women’s basketball team on Tuesday.
With their selections, the quartet of Lady Flames moves onto the national ballot where they will be eligible for selection to the CSC Academic All-America® Team. The 2022-23 CSC Academic All-America® Division I Women’s Basketball Team will be announced in March.
Berkman is an Academic All-District® honoree for the second year in a row, while Bailey, Clark and Hess each earned their first Academic All-District® nod.
A redshirt junior forward from Colbert, Ga., Bailey has started 25 of Liberty’s 26 games this season, averaging 7.2 ppg. She was named ASUN Player of the Week on Dec. 19, the same day she hit a game-winning putback with 0.1 second remaining against SIUE.
Bailey graduated in May 2022 with a 3.87 GPA as a strategic communications major. She currently boasts a 3.50 GPA while pursing an MBA.
A redshirt senior center from Marble Falls, Texas, Berkman leads the Lady Flames in scoring (14.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.2 rpg) while ranking No. 1 nationally in field goal percentage (69.5). She was tabbed ASUN Player of the Week on Feb. 6 and has appeared in a program-record 147 games during her career.
Berkman has already completed both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and is working toward an MBA this year. Her final undergraduate GPA was 3.80, and Berkman is maintaining a 3.89 GPA during her graduate studies.
A redshirt junior from Galax, Va., Clark averages 2.8 ppg off the bench this season. She has hit 16 three-pointers at a 36.4 percent clip, including a career-high four triples during a Jan. 19 win over Stetson.
Clark graduated with a bachelor’s degree in theology and apologetics in May 2022, finishing with a 3.80 GPA. She currently owns a 3.87 graduate GPA in communications.
A sophomore guard from Beavercreek, Ohio, Hess ranks second on the team in scoring (8.4 ppg) and paces the Lady Flames in three-pointers made (52) and three-point field goal percentage (39.1). She was named ASUN Player of the Week on Jan. 30, following a career-high 28-point contest at Lipscomb where she knocked down a career-best seven triples.
Hess maintains a 4.0 GPA as a criminal justice major through her first three semesters of college.
