
Liberty Falls 2-0 at UIW to End Regular Season

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Host Incarnate Word rode two first-half goals to a 2-0 victory over the Liberty Flames in an OVC match, Sunday at Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium.
In the final regular season game for both teams, host UIW scored less than two minutes in and then added towards the end of the opening 45 minutes. The Cardinals then held the Flames off the board the rest of the way to clinch the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye for the first-ever OVC Men's Soccer Tournament next week.
Liberty outshot and held the edge in corner kicks over UIW in the contest but was unable to score.
The Flames drop to 4-4-2 in OVC play and 9-6-2 overall. The Cardinals move to 4-3-3 in the OVC and 6-7-5 overall.
