
Late Power Surge Pushes Liberty to 9-1 Win Over Lehigh

Liberty used a six-run fifth inning to pull away for a five-inning, 9-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
The Lady Flames (13-6) pushed their winning streak to seven games, including a perfect 4-0 at the Liberty Softball Invitational. Lehigh (3-6) has gone 1-3 at this weekend's invitational.

- Liberty outhit Lehigh 10-4 for the game. The Mountain Hawks left six runners on base, while Liberty stranded just two.
- Making her first start and third appearance of the season, Liberty's Naomi Jones (1-0) allowed one run on four hits, walking two.
- Gabriella Nori (2-3) drew the loss, allowing three runs on five hits, walking one and srtriking out one in four inning. Ansley Dambach allowed two runs without getting a batter out, while Katelyn Young gave up four runs on five hits in 2/3 of an innings.

Turning Point
- Lehigh narrowed a 3-0 deficit to 3-1 on an RBI single in the top of the fifth. However, Liberty exploded for six runs in the home half of the inning, with Machado's walk-off single ending the game.
