Liberty Notables
- The Flames take to the road for their final two regular season matches of the 2022 season. On Friday, Liberty will head to Jacksonville to face ASUN Conference rivals North Florida. On Tuesday, the Flames will meet newcomer Queens in Charlotte for their final match of the regular season.
- Liberty and North Florida are tied for sixth in the ASUN standings with conference records of 1-3-2. As the conference tournament approaches, a win is pivotal as the top six seeds qualify for the upcoming ASUN Tournament.
- Queens is eighth in the conference with an ASUN record of 1-5 in their first season in the conference.
- This past Friday, the Flames were edged by Central Arkansas 2-1 in their final regular season home match. Forward Michael Huss scored the Liberty's lone goal. The sophomore's goal was his first of the season.
- Liberty finishes its regular season home schedule with a 3-2-2 record.
- Liberty and UNF will meet on Friday for the fifth time on the soccer pitch in program history. The Ospreys hold a 3-1 edge in the series. The Flames won the last meeting between the two teams 4-1 at Osborne Stadium last season.
- Liberty and Queens will meet for the first time in program history this season; as they were elevated to the NCAA Division I level at the beginning of the 2022-23 season.
- Luke Eberle continues to lead the Flames in goals and points. The sophomore has six goals, two assists and 14 points on the year. The forward enters Friday's contest third in the ASUN Conference in goals and fourth in points.
- Marko Mitrevski leads the Flames in assists and is second on the team with 12 points (4 a, 4 goals). The senior is currently fourth in the ASUN Conference in assists.
- Seth Clark follows behind Mitrevski with nine points. The junior has three goals and three assists on the year.
- Forward Michael Huss netted his first goal of the season against Central Arkansas. He became the seventh different Flame to score a goal this season.
- Blake Franzen and Danny Cordero have each spent time in the Liberty net this season. The two have combined for four shutouts.
- Franzen started Liberty’s last match versus Central Arkansas. The sophomore has recorded a 1.65 GAA and a .641 save percentage.
