Flames Holmes Named ASUN Player of the Week Honors

After scoring three goals this past week, Liberty forward Noah Holmes has been selected the ASUN Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.
Playing in his first match of the fall, Holmes, a sophomore, netted his first goal of the week, helping the Flames to mount a rally in a 2-1 setback at George Washington on Tuesday. The Apex, N.C., native then posted the first multi-goal game of his career in Liberty’s win at Radford, Saturday. The forward scored a goal in each half, helping the Flames defeat the Highlanders 3-0.
With three goals, Holmes leads the Flames and is tied for third in the ASUN, entering Liberty’s contest against Gardner-Webb. Holmes and the Flames will host the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs, tonight at Osborne Stadium. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
