Liberty Women's Soccer Releases 2021 Fall Schedule

The Liberty women's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2021 season during the Fall. The Flames will play 10 home games and eight games away from Lynchburg as the Lady Flames look to defend their ASUN crown.
Liberty will face four opponents from the state of Virginia during the non-conference schedule. The Lady Flames are coming off a stellar run at the end of the 2021 Spring Season, where the Lady Flames won the ASUN Tournament. The ASUN Championship kicks off on Nov. 1 as the top six teams based on regular season conference standings will advance to the tournament. The #1 seed will host the #4 vs. #5 seed, and the #2 seed will host the #3 vs. #6 seed on Nov. 1 and play the winner on Nov. 3. The winner of the semifinal games will meet on Nov. 9th in the ASUN Championship Final at the highest remaining seed.

Virginia Tech | Thursday, Aug. 19 | Blacksburg, Va.
- This will be the third straight season Liberty will face the Hokies.
- Liberty is 1-11-0 all-time against Virginia Tech.
- Liberty scored two goals last season against Virginia Tech.
Tennessee Tech | Sunday, Aug. 22 | Cookeville, Tenn.
- Liberty is 1-0 all-time against Tennessee Tech.
- Liberty defeated Tennessee Tech (1-0) in 2000 in the NCAA Play-In game.
VCU | Sunday, Aug. 29 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty faces VCU for the second straight season.
- VCU has not played at Liberty since 2017 (Liberty lost 0-2).
- Liberty suffered an 0-2 loss last season to VCU.
Richmond | Thursday, Sept. 2 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty has not played Richmond since 2011.
- Liberty is 0-3 all-time against Richmond.
Delaware | Sunday, Sept. 5 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty will host Delaware for the first time in program history.
- Liberty is 0-1 all-time against Delaware (Lost 0-1 in 2017).
Western Carolina | Thursday, Sept. 9 | Cullowhee, N.C.
- Liberty faces Western Carolina for the first time since 2003.
- Liberty is 0-2 all-time against Western Carolina.
Longwood | Sunday, Sept. 12 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty faces Longwood for the first time since 2017, when Liberty was in the Big South Conference.
- Liberty is 10-6-3 all-time against Longwood.
UNC Wilmington | Thursday, Sept. 16 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty will face UNC Wilmington for the first time since 2003.
- Liberty is 0-7 all-time against UNCW.
UNCG | Sunday, Sept. 19 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty will face UNCG for the first time since 2016.
- Liberty is 2-8 all-time against UNCG.
Jacksonville State | Thursday, Sept. 23 | Osborne Stadium
- This will be the first ever meeting against Jacksonville State.
North Alabama | Sunday, Sept. 26 | Osborne Stadium
- Liberty is 4-0-1 all-time against North Alabama.
- Liberty defeated UNA 4-1 this past season in the ASUN Championship First Round.
