Liberty will play its first away game on Sunday afternoon at Robert Morris. Game time between the Lady Flames and Colonials is set for noon at Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township, Pa.
Liberty (0-1) is in search of its first victory of 2021 after a 13-5 setback to No. 18 Virginia Tech, last Friday. Robert Morris (0-0) is seeing its first game action since March 11, 2020.
The Lady Flames and Colonials last met on March 5, 2020, in what turned out to be Liberty's last game of a shortened 2020 campaign. In that contest at the Liberty Lacrosse Field, senior Grace Fletcher scored the game-winning goal on a free-position shot with 4.2 seconds left for a 14-13 Liberty victory.
Sunday's contest was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but was moved back a day due to weather conditions in the Pittsburgh area.
The two teams have met six times, with each squad winning three times. The Lady Flames have had the upper hand in the last three meetings (2018, 2019 and 2020). The six all-time meetings have been decided by an average of 2.67 goals per game, including two one-goal games.
