
Liberty Rolls Past Radford 4-0

The Liberty Flames scored three goal in the first half, en route to 4-0 victory over the Radford Highlanders, Wednesday evening at Osborne Stadium.
With the victory, Liberty moves to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. The Flames have yet to allow a goal this season.
Musa Morris scored twice in the contest, while Brayden Borutskie and Michael Huss each netted a goal in the victory.
Radford playing its first game of the season, drops to 0-1.

Turning Point
The Flames took control of the contest with their second goal of the match at 31:19. Tyler Welch slid a pass from the right side of the box to the far left post, where Brayden Borutskie pounced on the ball, ripping a shot into the top right-hand corner of the goal for a 2-0 Liberty advantage.

- For the first time since 2009, Liberty has started a season 3-0. Just like this year's Flames, the 2009 squad also shut out their first three opponents of the year.
- The Flames have outscored their opponents, 9-0, and have scored four goals in two of their three games.
- For the third straight contest, goalkeeper Danny Cordero recorded a shutout. The sophomore made four saves in the game.
- Forward Musa Morris scored two goals in a contest for the first time in his two years at Liberty. The senior netted his second goal of the season in the first half and his third goal of the year in the second half. He now leads the Flames with seven points on the season.
- Freshman Michael Huss netted his third goal of the season in the contest. The forward is now tied with Morris for the team lead in goals.
- Sophomore defender Brayden Borutskie scored his first collegiate goal during the 32nd minute of the contest.
- The Flames have now won the last two meetings between the two squads. Liberty defeated Radford 2-1 to open the 2019 season (August 30). With the contest this evening, Liberty has met Radford the most of any school in program history. The two schools have met a total of 53 times with the Flames leading the series, 24-20-8.
