The ASUN Conference has released its Senior Spotlight video on the Liberty softball program.
Liberty Softball Head Coach Dot Richardson honors four players who were senior-eligible in 2020: infielders Amber and Autumn Bishop, catcher Kayla Harris and outfielder Addison Baele.
This class helped Liberty to its winningest three-year span in program history, as the Lady Flames' 135 wins from 2017-19 were tied with Michigan for the 12th most among NCAA Division I teams during that span. The Lady Flames also went 13-6 in postseason play during that span, including two Postseason NISC Regional titles, a 2017 Postseason NISC National title and a berth in the 2018 NCAA Columbia Regional final. Liberty went 73-13 at Liberty Softball Stadium during these seniors' careers, including a program-record 28 game home winning streak from March 10, 2018 through March 13, 2019.
Liberty has beaten five nationally-ranked teams in the last three seasons, with the most recent being a 6-5 win over No. 6 Michigan on Feb. 23. That game featured two homers from Amber Bishop, including the walk-off game-winner, as the Lady Flames tied their highest-ranked opponent defeated in program history.
