
High-Scoring Brown Signs with Lady Flames

The top scorer in NJCAA Division I women's basketball this past season at 26.6 ppg, Miami Dade College combo guard Dee Brown has signed a national letter of intent to attend Liberty University for the 2020-21 academic year.
Brown will have two seasons of eligibility remaining when she enrolls at Liberty this fall. She joins fellow junior college standout Alyssa Iverson and current high school seniors Sophia d'Oliveira, Bella Smuda and Nyah Stallings as part of the Lady Flames' incoming class of signees.

Dee Brown (G, 5-9, Chicago, Ill.)
Brown, who earned All-America honors for the second straight season in 2019-20, pulled down 9.1 rpg and ranked No. 2 nationally with 7.3 apg. The back-to-back Southern Conference Player of the Year helped her team win 20 games as a sophomore, posting three 40-point games and five triple-doubles. Brown got to the foul line 414 times for the season, connecting at a 78.7 percent clip.
Brown also led her team in scoring as a freshman, tallying 20.2 ppg. During two years at Miami Dade, she totaled 1,357 points as the Sharks went 42-21.
Brown graduated from Proviso East High School, where she averaged 19.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 6.0 apg as a senior, earning 2018 team MVP honors. Brown earned all-state honors in Illinois as a junior and senior.
