
No. 8 Alabama Rallies for 7-1 Win Over Liberty

Liberty entered the fourth inning of Thursdays game in a 1-1 tie with No. 8 Alabama before the Crimson Tide scored six unanswered runs to top the Flames 7-1 at Eddie C. Moore Complex.
Alabama improves to 2-3 on the season with a win in the first game of ESPN's St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational, while the Lady Flames fall to 1-5.
All five of Liberty's opponents this week appear in the Top 10 in at least one national poll.

- Krystal Goodman (1-0) allowed one run on seven hits, striking out four and walking one in the complete-game victory.
- Emily Kirby (0-1) drew the loss, yielding four runs on five hits, with three strikeouts and two walk in 4 1/3 innings of work. Karlie Keeney pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits, fanning one and walking two.
