The Pitt Panthers downed the Liberty Flames 3-0, Friday evening at Ambrose Urbanic Field.
The contest was the first ever meeting between the Flames and Panthers on the pitch.
Liberty drops to 1-2. Pitt improves to 1-2.

Turning Point
Down 1-0 in the 31st minute, Liberty went down a man due to his second yellow of the game. On the ensuing free kick, Veljko Petkovic scored on a free kick to put the Panthers up 2-0, before halftime.

• Pitt held a 22-8 shot advantage and an 8-2 edge on corner kicks over Liberty.
• The host Panthers netted two goals in the first and another during the second half. The Flames were held without a goal for the second consecutive game.
• Liberty's Brogan Engbers tied a career high with seven saves. He also made seven saves at Florida Gulf Coast on Oct. 9, 2018. Alexander Steinbach recorded one save for Pitt.
