The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• Liberty (4-12, 0-3 ASUN) will travel to Kennesaw State (5-10, 1-1 ASUN) on Tuesday for the Lady Flames' first-ever meeting with the Owls and their first visit to Georgia since 2014.
• Off to an 0-3 conference start for the first time since 1995-96 (Big South), Liberty is seeking its first-ever ASUN Conference victory. Meanwhile, Kennesaw State will look to match its best-ever start in ASUN play at 2-1.
• Atlanta native Kierra Johnson-Graham will get to play in her home state for the first time in her collegiate career. She has stepped up her production in ASUN play, averaging 9.0 ppg and 6.3 rpg off the bench.
• KK Barbour will play her final game as a 21-year old, with the senior's 22nd birthday coming up on Wednesday. She is eight rebounds shy of 500 for her career.
• Sophomore Bridgette Rettstatt has led the Lady Flames in both points and rebounds in all three ASUN Conference games, posting double-doubles in each of her last two outings (Stetson, Jacksonville). They were the first two double-doubles of her career.
Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. Kennesaw State
• Liberty will travel to Kennesaw State on Tuesday for the first-ever hardwood meeting between the Lady Flames and Owls.
• Liberty has started 0-3 in conference play for the first time since 1995-96, when the Lady Flames lost their first eight Big South games. Conversely, Kennesaw State has a chance to match its best-ever start in ASUN play (2-1) with a win on Tuesday.
• Both teams faced Jacksonville in their most recent game. Kennesaw State posted a 75-55 home win over the Dolphins on Jan. 8, four days before Jacksonville recorded a 64-52 victory at Liberty.
• Liberty will try to hand Kennesaw State its first home loss of the season. The Owls are 4-0 at the KSU Convocation Center in 2018-19.
• Carey Green and Agnus Berenato have squared off once previously as head coaches. Berenato's Pittsburgh Panthers edged Green's Lady Flames 54-47 at the Caribbean Classic, Dec. 20, 2006 in Cancun, Mexico.
• Liberty (Keyen Green and Ashtyn Baker - Big South), Kennesaw State (Carlotta Gianolla and Kamiyah Street) and Oregon are the only three NCAA Division I teams who feature their conference's last two freshmen of the year.
Making Connections
• Atlanta native Kierra Johnson-Graham will get to play in her home state for the first time in her collegiate career. She graduated from Tucker High School, which is located about 30 miles away from the KSU Convocation Center.
• Liberty freshman Melat Sissay and KSU redshirt junior Alexandra Landby both hail from Stockholm, Sweden. They are two of seven international players between Tuesday's two rosters, including three for Liberty and four for Kennesaw State.
Liberty in the Peach State
• Liberty is 2-5 all-time when playing in Georgia, winning its two most recent games (vs. Penn State, vs. Georgia State) at the 2014 GSU Thanksgiving Tournament in Atlanta.
• The Lady Flames are also 0-2 in Athens (0-2 vs. Georgia) and 0-3 in Statesboro (0-2 vs. Georgia Southern, 0-1 vs. West Virginia).
Liberty vs. the ASUN
• Liberty is 8-10 all-time versus ASUN Conference opponents (at the time of the meeting).
• The Lady Flames' most recent ASUN matchup prior to this season was a 70-27 victory over Lipscomb on Nov. 26, 2011 at the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.
• Liberty owns a 1-4 record against current ASUN members, including its previously mentioned win against Lipscomb, an 82-68 home loss to Stetson on Dec. 6, 1996 and its losses to FGCU, Jacksonville and Stetson this season.
