Liberty Notables
- After dropping its last two contests at UCF and ETSU, Liberty returns home for two matches, this weekend. The contests begin a span where the Flames will play three matches in seven days.
- Liberty will be meeting both New York schools, Niagara and Manhattan, for the first time in program historty this weekend.
- ETSU edged Liberty 1-0 in overtime on Tuesday. It is the first time this season that the Flames have been shutout in a contest.
- Tuesday's match at ETSU completed a three-game road swing for the Flames. Liberty went 1-2 on the swing, its longest span of the 2018.
- Forward Tresor Mbuyu was selected as the ASUN Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday. The forward shared the award with Stetson forward Elvis Menayese.
- Mbuyu enters the weekend second in the ASUN and leads the Flames in goals (3) and points (8). Teammate Matt Zaczyk is fourth in the conference in goals (2) and points (5).
- Brogan Engbers has started every match in goal for the Flames in 2018. In four games, Engbers has posted a 1.31 goals-against average and a .706 save percentage.
- Zaczyk had his point streak come to a halt at ETSU on Tuesday. The forward had a point in each of the first three matches of the season. The sophomore has already surpassed his totals of 2017 with two goals and five points in 2018.
- The Flames were shutout for the first time in 2018 on Tuesday. Last season, Liberty was blanked twice.
