- Liberty will be making its first-ever appearance in the ASUN Men's Soccer Championship on Friday.
- The No. 5 seed Flames will face the No. 4 seed Jacksonville Dolphins in an ASUN Quarterfinal match at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex in Nashville, Tenn.
- The Flames have won two straight games. However, they have not played since defeating Jacksonville 3-2 in double overtime at Osborne Stadium on Oct. 20.
- Friday will be Liberty's first neutral site game of 2018. Liberty has not played in a neutral site match since tying Fort Wayne 1-1 at Dayton's Baujun Field on Sept. 8, 2017. The contest was part of the 2018 Dayton Tournament.
- Liberty paced the ASUN Conference in scoring during the regular season with a 2.29 goals per game. The Flames are allowing 1.66 goals per game. Liberty has scored 32 goals, while yielding 24.
- With two goals and an assist in each of his last two games, senior midfielder Kevin Mendoza leads the ASUN with 29 points. He is also tied for the conference lead with 12 goals.
- Mendoza enters the week leading the nation in shot accuracy with a .743 mark. He also is fourth in points per game (2.23) and fifth in points per game (0.92).
- Tresor Mbuyu is tied for the ASUN lead with 12 goals. The forward is second in the ASUN with 28 points.
- Mbuyu comes into the weekend eighth in points per game (2.0).
- The Flames are 6-2-1 when scoring first and 1-4 when their opponents score first.
- Goalkeeper James Knoebel has started the last three games in net for the Flames. He has posted a 1.94 goals against average in seven games this season, after splitting time with redshirt freshman Brogan Engbers earlier in the season. Engbers has posted in a 1.48 GAA in nine games in 2018.
- Midfielder Jafeth Santiago record two assists in Liberty's win over Jacksonville on Oct. 20. The assists were the first two points of the freshman's collegiate career.
- Defender Geovanny Murillo has tied his career single season high with three assists. The senior also recorded three assists during the 2015.
- Midfielder Ruben Garcia and forwards Tresor Mbuyu and Matthew Zaczyk are the only Flames to start all 14 contests this season.
- In his 19th season, Flames head coach Jeff Alder will enter Friday night's match looking for the 175th career victory.
