- Liberty and Longwood will be meeting for the 26th time in program history, Tuesday. The Flames hold a 17-4-4 advantage over the Lancers all-time.
- Tuesday evening will be the first time that the two teams have met as non-conference opponents since 2011. Last season, Liberty defeated Longwood 2-1 at Osborne Stadium in the final meeting between the two in Big South Conference play.
- Both teams will enter the contest coming off losses on Saturday. North Florida rallied for a 3-2 win over Liberty at Osborne Stadium in an ASUN match, while Radford defeated Longwood 4-2 at the Longwood Athletics Complex in Big South play.
- Liberty midfielder Kevin Mendoza scored both of the Flames' goals on Saturday. The midfielder enters Tuesday's match tied for third in the ASUN in goals with five. He is also fifth with 13 points.
- The Flames continue to lead the ASUN in scoring, averaging 2.13 goals per game. Liberty has scored 17 goals in eight games.
- Both Brogan Engbers and James Knoebel have seen action in the Liberty goal. The two goalkeepers have combined for a 1.68 goals-against average.
- Currently, Tresor Mbuyu is second in the ASUN in points with 15 and tied for second in goals with six.
- Liberty's Saturday night contest was its first in 16 days. The Flames had two matches canceled due to weather.
