Barr Sisters Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

Senior sisters Bethany and Serena Barr were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office.
Bethany Barr, a midfielder, collected two goals and two assists in games against No. 11 Virginia and Villanova last week. Against the Cavaliers, she assisted on her sister Serena's goal. Last Friday at Villanova, Bethany scored the game's first two goals early in the second half to lead the Lady Flames to a 5-1 victory in their inaugural BIG EAST contest.
Bethany ranks 18th in the country in assists per game at 0.80. She currently ranks second in program history with 27 assists and fifth in program history with 22 goals.
Serena Barr, a defender, scored goals in both games last week and added an assist against Villanova. As a member of the back line, the senior helped limit Virginia and Villanova to three total goals in two games. This is the second time this season Serena has been on the weekly honor roll, as she also received the distinction on Sept. 5.
Serena ranks 49th in the nation in assists per game at 0.60. She leads the team in shots (17) and shots on goal (9).
