
2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials Preview with Alicia Finnigan

As preparations continue for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, LFSN's Nick Pierce had a chance to interview Liberty freshman Alicia Finnigan.
Finnigan will compete in the women's 200 meter butterfly tomorrow, with preliminary heats starting at approximately 11:19 a.m. Eastern. This year's Olympic Trials are being held at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb. If she records one of the 16 fastest times in morning prelims, she would qualify for Wednesday's evening semifinals. The final for the 200 fly will take place on Thursday evening.

A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Finnigan is the second student-athlete in program history to compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials while enrolled at Liberty. Brye Ravettine competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials, finishing 72nd in the 50-meter freestyle.
