Crist and Dollar Win First Match at ITA Women's All-American Championships

The Liberty women's tennis doubles team of Evangeline Crist and Anna Dollar picked up a win in their first match of the pre-qualifying doubles draw on Saturday at the 2016 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships at Pepperdine.
Crist and Dollar defeated Cindy Nyugen and Roxanne Resma of Hawaii-Manoa, 8-4. The win was the first in Lady Flames program history at the event.
Crist and Dollar advance to the next round on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. (PST) at the Ralph-Straus Tennis Center.
"Anna and Evangeline played very well today," said head coach Jeff Maren. "They handled the occasion like pros and remained focused throughout the match. I couldn't have asked for a better start."
If Crist and Dollar advance out of pre-qualifying, they will play in the qualifying draw on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. The main draw will be played from Oct. 6-9.
