
Catching Up with Cori Gary

With the 2015 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships just over a week away, Alan York of the Liberty Flames Sports Network (LFSN) caught up with senior Cori Gary for an interview.
A communications studies: broadcasting major from San Antonio, Texas, Gary was named a CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-American (honorable mention) as a freshman after swimming an NCAA B cut time of 22.94 in the 50 free at the 2012 CCSA Championships. A three-time CCSA medalist, Gary was on Liberty's program record-setting 200 free relay and 400 free relay in 2013. This season, she has posted Liberty's second-fastest time in both the 50 free (23.70) and 100 free (51.86).
Gary and the Lady Flames went 13-4 during the 2014-15 regular season, and the team is aiming to defend its CCSA title next week in Athens, Ga., as the 2015 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships will be held next Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 18-21.
