Junior Meghan Babcock of the Liberty swimming & diving team returned to the site of Liberty's CCSA Championship victory, competing in the Tennessee Last Chance Meet at Allan Jones Aquatic Center on Sunday.
Babcock, completing a time trial swim in the 50 free, touched the wall in 23.08. Her time was just .09 off of the NCAA B standard, and .04 shy of her season best of 23.04 from last week's CCSA Championships.
Babcock is a member of Liberty's NCAA A-qualifying 200 medley relay, along with Kendall Hough, Jess Reinhardt and Emilie Kaufman. Additionally, Reinhardt and Kaufman hold individual times which will almost certainly gain entry to the national meet.
The Lady Flames will await Tuesday's announcement of the field for the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championship. The national meet will be held from March 20-22 at Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
