LFSN Softball Opponent Preview: Campbell

As the Liberty softball team prepares for its Big South conference-opening weekend series against Campbell, Alan York of LFSN caught up with first-year head coach Dot Richardson and junior catcher Kelby Allen.
Richardson and Allen discussed the Lady Flames' recently-completed trip to Oklahoma, where the team visited the National Softball Hall of Fame and ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, before competing in the Courtyard Marriott Oklahoma Tournament. While in Norman, Okla., Liberty took on a pair of nationally-ranked foes, No. 20/21 Tulsa and defending national champion, No. 19/13 Oklahoma. Allen hit a three-run homer against Oklahoma, a highlight of the trip. They also talked about the team's progression, and preparations for conference play and this weekend's games against Campbell.
The Lady Flames host Campbell in a three-game conference series, opening the home schedule with a doubleheader on Friday, before closing out the series with a single game on Saturday.
