The 2014 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships will draw to a close today, with the evening finals starting at 6 p.m. at Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Tonight's session begins with the seeded final of the 1,650 freestyle.
Liberty, aiming for its first-ever conference swimming & diving championship, leads the overall team standing with 471 points. Five-time defending champion Florida Gulf Coast is currently second with 453. The CCSA champion will be crowned following tonight's session.
The Lady Flames had a fantastic morning session, earning 15 finals swims (13 in A finals and two in B finals). Additionally, 1,650 swimmers Heather McCorkel, Kristin Van Deventer and Hannah Wakeley have an opportunity to score points.
Tonight's finals will feature pool-side, live blog coverage as the Lady Flames compete in Knoxville. Look for coverage to begin shortly before the 6 p.m. finals start with an interactive blog, where all are invited to interact with questions and comments.
