McMillon Earns Second Straight Weekly Honor

Liberty senior catcher Keely McMillon has been selected as the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Softball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.
McMillon batted .636 (7-for-11)as the Lady Flames went 2-1 against Winthrop in a Big South conference series over the weekend. The Vermontville, Mich. native led the team with four RBIs and two doubles, and also posted a .692 on base percentage and scored five runs.
She had multiple hits in every game, including three in a 13-6 win in the first game of the series. McMillon finished the week with a .818 slugging percentage with just one strikeout in 11 at-bats and walked twice. She also recorded 11 put outs, one assist and committed no errors in the three-game series.
McMillon and the Lady Flames are back in action tomorrow, traveling to Greensboro, N.C. for a non-conference doubleheader against UNC Greensboro at 3 p.m.
