Liberty's Lindsey Romkes and Brye Ravettine posted season-best times, but it wasn't enough to get Liberty a victory at Saturday's quad meet in Fort Myers, Fla.
The meet, hosted by Florida Gulf Coast, capped off a week-long training trip for the Lady Flames. Liberty dropped decisions to Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association foes Florida Gulf Coast (57-235), Georgia Southern (76-214) and Radford (111-181).
The host Eagles defeated all three visiting teams.
Romkes swam her fastest 200 freestyle event of the season, taking first place with a time of 1:54.23, which is currently the fifth-fastest time in the conference. Ravettine also enjoyed her fastest time of the year in the 50 freestyle (24.13), and took second place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.34.
The Lady Flames drop to 3-5 on the year, and will next compete in a tri-meet against VMI and Mount St. Mary's, next Saturday, in Lexington, Va.
