
Liberty Sweeps Crosstown Rival Lynchburg

The Liberty Flames men's tennis team won its third consecutive match, with a 7-0 sweep of crosstown rival Lynchburg College, Saturday night inside the Sport Racket.
Liberty, off to a 3-1 start to its spring season, opened with a sweep in the doubles competition. Newcomers Clay Cypert and Giancarlo Lemmi remained unbeaten through the first four matches of the year, with an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
In singles, the Flames swept through the six matches. Cypert at No. 1, Louis Steyn at No. 2 and Lemmi at No. 3, each did not drop a set in winning their respective singles contests.
Liberty will look to extend its streak to four straight victories, Saturday at Campbell. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
