Flames Fall to Elon in Non-Conference Tennis Tilt

The Liberty Flames men's tennis team, playing its final match before the upcoming Big South Conference Tournament, dropped a road contest to the Elon Phoenix Saturday afternoon, losing 7-0 in Elon, N.C.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, the scheduled time of the match was moved up two hours. When the match did begin, Elon got off to a quick start as the Southern Conference squad swept the three matches to earn the doubles point.
In singles play, the Phoenix won all six matches contested.
With the setback, Liberty's final regular season record is 4-16, and the Flames conclude the campaign with a mark of 0-7 in the Big South. Liberty will return to action on Thursday, as the Big South Conference Tournament begins in Radford, Va.
