
Flames Tennis Downed by Radford in Big South Match-up

The Liberty Flames men's tennis team suffered a Big South defeat Friday afternoon, falling 7-0 to the conference rival Radford Highlanders in a road contest played in Radford, Va.
The Highlanders, the runner-up in last year's conference tournament, swept the doubles point by winning all three matches. In doubles play, Liberty featured two separate pairings playing together for just the second time.
In singles, Radford prevailed in all six matches contested, including a lengthy win at No. 5, from which Liberty's Juan Reyes nearly emerged victorious.
With the setback, Liberty's record drops to 4-15 overall and 0-7 in the Big South Conference. The Flames will return to action on Saturday, as they continue their road trip by traveling to Elon, N.C., to take on the Elon Phoenix. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
