Flames Drop Match to Wofford

The Liberty Flames men's tennis team fell to Wofford Friday afternoon, losing a 7-0 road decision to the Terriers in Spartanburg, S.C.
The non-conference match-up was delayed approximately three hours due to inclement weather. Once it began, doubles play included Liberty's Jarda Trojan and Chad Simpson winning at No. 1, pushing their mark for the season to 7-4. Wofford, however, captured the No. 2 and 3 matches to claim the doubles point. In singles competition, the Terriers won all six matches contested.
With the loss, the Flames' record now stands at 3-8. Liberty will resume play on Saturday as the Flames will travel to Rock Hill, S.C., to face Big South Conference opponent Winthrop. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
