Reagan Underwood stepped into her role as Liberty Field Hockey Assistant Coach in June 2025.
Underwood joins the staff after playing for Liberty five seasons (spring 2021-24). Underwood enjoyed a highly successful career while at Liberty and was named a 2024 NFHCA All-America second team selection. She also earned the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 Award for field hockey during the fall 2021 season.
Underwood helped Liberty win BIG EAST Championship titles in 2021 (fall) and 2022 and BIG EAST regular season crowns in 2021 (fall), 2022 and 2023. She was part of the Liberty team that won a school-record 20 games and made the national championship game during the fall 2021 campaign. Underwood closed out her career as a two-time NFHCA All-South Region selection, two-time All-BIG EAST honoree and two-time BIG EAST All-Tournament team member. Academically, Underwood was a four-time NFHCA Scholar of Distinction, four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member, two-time CSC Academic All-District® Team member and five-time BIG EAST All-Academic team selection. Underwood is the program’s all-time leader in career starts (97) and currently ranks No. 8 in school history with 28 career assists.
Underwood was a member of the Liberty track & field team during her final semester as a student-athlete in spring 2025, competing as a distance runner.
Underwood earned a bachelor’s degree from Liberty in digital media and journalism and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in professional communication: promotional and video communication.
