Brady Mangus began in his role as Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in Sept. 2021. He is now the Associate Athletics Director for Governance & Compliance, a promotion which occurred in Feb. 2023.
In his current role, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Liberty Compliance Office. He also serves as the compliance liasion for CUSA and the NCAA. Mangus serves as the primary compliance contact for the Liberty Football, Men's Basketball, Golf and Volleyball teams.Â
Prior to coming to Liberty, Mangus served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance at Marshall from Sept. 2018-Aug. 2021. He oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Compliance office there and served as a member of the Athletics Department Senior Leadership Team. Prior to being named Assistant AD in 2018, he worked on the compliance staff at Marshall from Aug. 2014-Aug. 2018 and held titles of Intern, Graduate Assistant and Assistant Compliance Director.
Mangus has been a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance since 2014 and was selected to the Athletics Compliance Elite (A.C.E.) program in 2019-20.
Mangus graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management & marketing from Marshall in 2015 with cum laude honors. He also earned a sport administration master’s degree from Marshall.
Mangus is married to Allison Mangus of Hurricane, W. Va. The couple resides in Lynchburg with their son, Gray, and golden retriever, Crosby.Â
