Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I wanted to get out of the desert of west Texas. When God opened the doors to Liberty, I couldn't say no!
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I blast an AC/DC song, then my country music, then worship. Specifically in that order. I also fuel up on skittles!
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic accomplishment was winning the AAU Junior Olympics National Discus Title the summer of my Junior year. I set my personal record by 18 ft to win it, which completely shocked me (along with everyone else).
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I would choose 11, which is the day of my birthday!
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Supper is my favorite meal. My mama's chicken spaghetti is UNBEATABLE!
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I check my messages first every day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Art and reading.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Hope Solo
What is your favorite possession and why?
My mini library of books.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue by Toby Keith.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Israel, I've been there once and would go back or even move in a heartbeat! Nothing like rafting the Jordan River and seeing Bible stories unfold before your eyes.
