Women's Day 3 Recap
Zealand's 4:10.57 effort was good for ninth place in her heat and 12th overall among 44 sections of the women's 1,500 contested on Saturday. It marked the second fastest time of her career and in program history, trailing only a 4:09.76 performance at the 2025 NCAA Division I East First Rounds meet.
This marked the second year in a row Zealand's first 1,500 of the outdoor season has come at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Saturday's 4:10.57 performance was five seconds faster than her 2025 opener (4:15.67).
Zealand's 1,500 came one day after she had posted a big personal-best 2:04.17 800. Both races were the second fastest ever recorded by a Lady Flame.
Eden Alexander and Jessica Palisca also wrapped up 800/1,500 doubles of their own on Saturday. Alexander lowered her personal best to 4:32.99, while Palisca's 4:25.91 was just off her previous best.
