What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
The coaches were wonderful and have great Christian values.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning state track in discus my junior year and shot put my senior year.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I would choose 34, it was my High School football number all four years.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Blake Veenstra, my brother, is a 5th year senior at Iowa State University and is also a thrower.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is waffles for breakfast.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?

What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I like to go golfing.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
An island anywhere.

- Closed out his freshman season at the CUSA meet, placing fourth in the discus and 10th in the shot put
- CUSA Men’s Freshman of the Week on May 13 after heaving the discus a personal-best 171-6 at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier
- Top shot put of the season (54-9.25) came at the Beach Invitational
- CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll member
2024-25 Indoor Track & Field (Fr.)
- Earned All-CUSA honors with a third-place shot put finish (season-best 54-1.25) and took seventh in the weight throw (personal-best 58-2.5)
- The Burg Open shot put champion

- Won a pair of Iowa 2A state titles (2023 discus and 2024 shot put), while also finishing as the 2024 discus runner-up
- Drake Relays discus runner-up as a junior and senior
