Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Their love for God and others. I want to attend a college where I am loved, valued, and can grow in my faith while obtaining a top-notch education.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Before meets, I always pray to God to give me the physical and mental strength to allow me to run my races to the best of my abilities. Afterwards, I thank him for giving me such an amazing opportunity to be able to run.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom inspires me because she is so hardworking. She has shown me how to be strong, caring, and dedicated. She will always there for me with such a bright and positive spirit.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable accomplishment was making it to the podium in the state track and field meet my senior year in the 100 meter dash and having a huge PR, particularly because I started my running career as a distance runner running cross country and the 1 and 2 mile in track.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
13, because it has been my favorite lucky number since Elementary School
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My eldest sister Myiah ran track at Liberty University. My middle sister runs track and Eastern Michigan University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal to eat is pasta or Chinese food.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
Snapchat
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love anything outside and going on vacation. Including going to the beach, spending time at my family cabin, swimming, playing pickle ball, and going on adventures.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Gabby Douglas
What is your favorite possession and why?
My car, Rudy, because he gets me places.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
I want to go to Dubai so I can go four wheeling on the sand dunes!
