Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty felt like home the second I stepped foot on campus. The people there were kind, helpful, but most importantly radiated the love of Christ. The Coaches and Staff had goals that aligned with exactly what I was looking for.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I always do fun hair on meet days because I like feeling put together!
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My dad is my hero. He just represents what hard work can do. He is the first one to go the extra mile without being asked. He is constantly sacrificing time and effort for his kids and family. He moves heaven and earth to show up to every event for all 8 of his kids whether they are 1000 miles away or 5 minutes up the road.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
The IHSAA State Meet in 2024. I was coming off a devastating regional meet and was looking to just power through the state meet. I went and got 3rd, and it just felt like all the hours and literal blood, sweat, and tears came together.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I would wear 22, it is my family’s number. All my siblings wear 22, my dad was 22, and we have used that number for generations.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Koby Hauser, my brother, played Air Force Football. Brenna Hauser, my sister, did gymnastics at Central Michigan. Micah Hauser, my brother, is actively playing football at Indiana State University. Joshua Hauser, my father, played basketball at Saint Joseph’s.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My momma’s Chicken and Waffles! I have it every year on my birthday and it just makes me feel at home.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I go on Instagram first every day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love to bake.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
My older brothers playing football.
What is your favorite possession and why?
The first Bible I owned.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Halo by Beyoncé
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Greece is beautiful, and I want to try the food!
