Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University was the only school in the country that fit both my personal spiritual goals as well as provided academic and athletic opportunities. My faith is the most important part of my life, and no other school recognizes that as important, like Liberty does.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom inspires me because she is extremely generous and God-fearing. I strive to be like her and one day parent my children the way she has done for me.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic experience was setting my personal record at Eastern Preliminaries my freshman year, jumping over 14 feet for the first time and qualifying for nationals where I became a second team All-American.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Emma Urbine, my older sister, threw javelin for West Chester University. David Burnshaw, my cousin, does decathlon for West Chester University. Lilly Hornickle, my cousin, plays Volleyball at Stevenson University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is my grandma’s homemade veal dinner. It was my mom’s favorite meal growing up and we always had it for special occasions.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love to bake and cook!
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Golden doodle named Hadley.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Olympic Gymnast Jordyn Wieber.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
My dream vacation spot is Italy or Greece because the food is authentic and delicious, and the water is beautiful!
