Ronnie Gajownik joined the Liberty softball staff in July 2015, and she currently serves as a graduate assistant.
In her current role, Gajownik assists in practice setup, while also generating travel itineraries. She assists coaches during practice and in games. Gajownik also coordinates food orders for games.
Gajownik brings collegiate and international playing experience to Liberty. As a member of Team USA, she played in the first ever women’s baseball competition at the 2015 Toronto Pan American games. Team USA won each of its games, claiming the championship. The lineup card from the first game is on display at the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
She was a two-year starter (2014, 2015) on the infield at USF, playing under current USA Softball head coach Ken Eriksen. Gajownik was twice named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, while earning NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete mention in 2014.
Prior to her time at USF, Gajownik played in 2013 at Indian River State College. She was a first-team all-conference selection, batting .422 with a .547 slugging percentage. She was named among Who’s Who on College Campuses. As a freshman, Gajownik played at Jacksonville, hitting three homers on the season.
Gajownik graduated from USF in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in exercise science at Liberty.
