Christiaan Worst joined the Flames coaching staff after three years playing for Liberty from 2021-23. Worst transferred to Liberty from Vanderbilt in 2021, and helped the Flames win back-to-back ASUN titles in 2021 and 2022. The Flames won the 2023 NIT Title, defeating Denver and Vanderbilt. Worst helped the Flames finish the 2021 season ranked No. 39 in the nation.

In three years playing for the Liberty, Worst accumulated a 51-38 singles and a 51-30 doubles record. In 2022, Worst and Josh Wilson qualified for ITA All-American Doubles Tournament and advanced to the Quarterfinals.

Worst was a four-time ITA Scholar Athlete, and finished with a 3.97 GPA. Worst has received mention on two straight ASUN All-Academic teams (2022, 2023) along with the previously mentioned CSC Academic All-District team last year.Â

In 2023, Worst was named to the VaSID All-State doubles second team with Josh Wilson, the ASUN All-Conference third team and the CSC All-District Academic team. During his first year as a Flame in 2021, Worst was named on the ASUN Doubles Pair of the Year with Deji Thomas-Smith along with a VaSID All-State doubles second team honor.
