Senior member of the Flames' experienced receiving corps … big, physical receiver … has the potential to be a solid blocker from the wide receiver position … strong athlete in the weight room … his size will truly be a benefit this season … has been hampered by injuries over his career.

2005 (r-Jr.): Saw playing time in 10 games, including a start against Connecticut (9/10) … failed to record a reception on the season … finished the year with three tackles as a member of the Flames' special teams unit … also added a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

2004 (r-So.): Sat out the season after having surgery on his right foot.

2003 (r-Fr.): Started 11 contests … finished second on the team with 269 yards receiving and 27 receptions … averaged 10.0 yards per reception and 24.5 yards per game … caught a season-high seven passes for 40 yards in his first collegiate game at James Madison (8/30) … four receptions for 45 yards at Bowling Green (9/13) … four catches for a season-best 53 yards at Gardner-Webb (10/11) … four receptions for 46 yards at East Tennessee State (10/18).

2002 (Fr.): Redshirted.

Prep: Graduated from Northern Vance High School … four-year letterwinner … finished with 140 yards on 15 receptions as a freshman … finished with 200 yards on 25 catches as a sophomore … was named to the all-conference squad after finishing with 626 yards on 48 receptions as a junior … named to the all-conference and all-area teams after finishing his senior year with 52 catches for 690 yards … also was named to the all-conference basketball team as a small forward during his senior season.

Personal: Son of Darnell, Sr. and Kassandra Edwards … birthday is on July 16 … majoring in government at Liberty … would like to pursue a career in politics after graduation.
