2009-10 (R-Fr.): Ran with Ryan Cox in his first Liberty cross country race, which resulted in a 16th-place finish at the Virginia Tech Cross Country Relay … served as the Flames' No. 3 runner at the Big South Preview, where he finished 13th … his 8K season best, 26:56.6, was achieved at the Hagan Stone Park Classic … On the Track: Finished second in the Big South indoor 800-meter final, defeating two-time NCAA national qualifier Felix Kitur of VMI in the process … his time in that race, 1:53.59, set a new indoor personal best and ranks No. 5 in program history … ran both the 800 and 4 x 800 relay at the IC4A indoor meet … the Flames' 4 x 800 quartet ran a 7:42.87 in the IC4A prelims, becoming the third-fastest quartet ever at Liberty … wrapped up his outdoor campaign by running the 800 at the first-ever NCAA Preliminary Round meet … posted another Big South runner-up finish in the 800 outdoors, repeating his indoor performance … again ran both the 800 and 4 x 800 at the IC4A outdoor meet … however, his most impressive race of the year came at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier … ran a personal-best 1:50.22 800 that evening, finishing fifth behind a former NCAA All-American and three NCAA 800-meter qualifiers in 2010 … that time ranks No. 2 in program history and was the fastest clocking by a Liberty 800-meter runner since 1997 … Awards Summary: Two All-Big South honors (indoor 800 – 2nd place, outdoor 800 – 2nd place) … USTFCCCA All-Academic Team (track & field) ... 2008-09 (Fr.): Redshirted his first cross country season at Liberty … On the Track: Did not make his Liberty track debut until February 7, when he clocked a season-best 1:55.85 800 at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup … finished sixth in the Big South indoor 800-meter final, second among freshmen … placed as the first freshman and fifth overall in the Big South outdoor 800 … closed his rookie season with a then personal-best 1:53.32 800 at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier … Awards Summary: Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

Prep: Attended Lighthouse Academy, where he became one of the most highly decorated runners in Iowa high school history … the first male in state history to win the 1,600-meter run at the state meet four years in a row … also a three-time state 800-meter champion, a three-time state cross country champion and a three-time state sprint medley relay titlist … won the Nike Outdoor Nationals freshman mile title in 2005.
